This is one a few 539C testers being sold with the digital meters already installed. There will be probably only one more being sold with digital meters because the digital meters are only offered to be purchased separately and installed by 539C owners themselves.
This 539C had the smaller plastic meter and it was used to take pictures and provide installation instructions for owners of 539C testers that have the smaller plastic meters.
Late Model that is Calibrated & Clean. New capacitors and critical resistors. This 539C can be adjusted to work on 230 volts. Directions are in the manual.

No trick to use digital meters. The main meter has instructions etched on the metal plate.
