No trick to use the jacks just plug in a multimeter or other accurate DCV for the bias, and ACV for the line and filament, digital meters in the 2mm sockets, red to positive and black to negative (bias set to read  negative voltage as applied), and it will read the actual DC bias voltage being applied in the test. Same with the AC line and filament jacks except positive and negative does not matter; just plug in a multimeter or accurate digital ACV meter in the 2mm plugs and it will read the actual AC voltage.
 
Includes an aftermarket manual that has illustrations and a DVD with factory manuals and tube data. If you do not have a DVD player on your PC I can email the contents of the DVD.
