Hickok 6000A Mutual Conductance Tube Tester

Exceptionally clean and Exceptional condition!

This 6000A has been modified and uses the diode jacks already on the tester to test for plate current.

This 6000A had the Original 83 and 5y3 tubes still in place. Both were tested and both tested as good as new. Replace the 83 with a solid state 83, original 83 is included, and the 5Y3GT remains in the tester. The tube chart is also dated 1971.

The tube sockets on the tube island look unused and are all very tight. Put a new military low profile noval socket on the nine-pin noval socket that will keep that socket as good as new and allow the lid to be closed.

The meter was cleaned and calibrated and is in spec at 100uA and 1165 ohms with a new 150uF capacitor added. The lens was also destaticized. The shunt was also cleaned to ensure accurate mutual conductance test results.

This 6000A is exceptionally clean and looks virtually unused and is about 60 years old. The same is true for the case and the condition of the leatherette. There are some scuffs on the exterior, but the Leatherette still retains its original color with little fading. The same is true for the face of the chassis. With the meter removed there is no fading noticeable from under the meter and the rest of the chassis as there is on most.
